Is counselling right for me?

Counselling can provide skills and tools to help you better manage stress, mood issues, and relationship challenges. Many clients meet with me because they feel overwhelmed or “stuck”, or are managing life adjustments or transitions.

 

In a counselling session, you’ll be able to explore your thoughts and emotions in a non-judgmental and confidential environment. I work with you to help better understand and manage emotional reactions, unhelpful thought patterns and/or behaviours, and support development and implementation of useful strategies that can ease working through challenging situations. 

 

 

Primary areas of focus

While counselling can help with a wide range of issues, the most common challenges my clients face include:

  • Stress and anxiety management

  • Life Adjustments and transitions 

  • Self-criticism 

  • LGBTQ isssues

  • Recovery from injury and management of other life-altering health issues
